Monday Meal Planning

This meal planning thing is working for me – I’ve been spending a lot of time in the kitchen! Of course, I have also been spending a lot of time eating the cookies and such that I’ve been whipping up in the kitchen…oops!

1. BBQ Beef Sandwiches – recipe – made Saturday afternoon

Monday Meal Planning — 2 Comments

  1. Glad the meal planning is working out well for you. I definitely have been slacking off just a little.

Do you think meal planning saves you money @ the grocery store?

    • I think so. I am more conscious of what I’m buying and why. I used to just go in and be like “well, I don’t think we have chicken, I should buy chicken”. Now I go in with a list of what I need…of course I always come out with more, but I’m not buying chicken if it isn’t on the list! I’m also focusing more on using what we have in the house/freezer rather than whipping up meal ideas while I’m staring at an aisle full of pasta!

Couponing with groceries, on the other hand, makes me spend more money! I bought stuff because I had a coupon…and I still haven’t used it!
