I’m in! Wait…how far?! {Wild West Relay}

I really like to be a good friend and help people out. Its what I do. Or at least I’m using the “I’m just that nice” excuse to justify how quickly I agreed to help out Paula when her Wild West Relay team needed a back up team mate. One of their runners is battling an injury and won’t be able to participate in the 200 mile relay race from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs. The email chain started last week and I immediately replied “I’m in!” and then decided to follow that up with “uh, how many miles do I need to run?”. Hey, at least I had the sense to ask one important question! I also managed to check my calendar to make sure I was available. What I failed to really process was the fact that this … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Run + Bike + Bark + COLOR RUN

Well would you look at that…its Friday. Already. For some reason I am not prepared for Friday. Probably because I have assignments due by 11:59pm. I should probably get on that. Later. First, let me share a few photos from this past week. And I literally mean “a few”. Having a phone that is barely capable of taking a crappy picture has severely limited the number of photos I bother taking! Of course a good camera doesn’t necessarily guarantee a good photo…as I prove in these ridiculous finisher photos from the Sand Creek 10K last weekend. Immediately after these photos were snapped I stopped dead, put my hands on my knees and talked down the Nutella sandwich that wanted to make a re-appearance. I ran hard and my body knew it! I’m still pretty proud of that race… photo credit: … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Color Me Rad 5K {recap + video}

So. I’ve only half fallen off the face of the earth. I am still here! But I have cried at work at least three times, ran zero miles, ate countless cookies, turned in multiple assignments {not necessarily on time} and have never been so incredibly happy for a Monday before in my life. Why Monday? Because I’m starting all over with life…it might still suck, but I’m taking control of it. Hopefully. Maybe. But, first, let’s talk about the last time I actually ran. Last week Saturday. As in eight days ago. Yup. I won my race entry from Lena through a giveaway and was crazy excited to run a color run with a bunch of blogger friends. It was bound to be a no pressure run with laughs, lots of color, my first visit to the Botanical Gardens at … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Color Me Rad… {sneak peek}

Last weekend I ran a race…and got colored corn starch thrown at me! Eventually I’ll get around to telling the whole story and I might even be able to find some GoPro footage that isn’t puke inducing. For now you’ll have to settle for a few photos… {group photo kidnapped from Lena!} If you really want to read about the race you can check out Lynne’s recap – she had an experience very similar to mine. Or take a peek at Heather’s recap who had much better luck than I did! … [Click Here For the Full Story]
