Layer Up Lady!

Wednesday’s Workout Wanda: A total of 1.3 miles on the TM in 12:16/9:26mpm.Thursday’s Workout Wanda: About 2 untimed miles to pick up hamburger buns…efficient! For us Thursday is technically our Saturday and my Saturday turned out to be crazy productive for me! I managed to… – do laundry– organize and reorganize photos– get CO car insurance– visit the dentist and get fillings– retest and pass emissions test– verify VIN on my car– make lunch and dinner– bake cookies– wash dishes three times– blog {or not, I fell asleep half way through this post!} I was feeling all kinds of productive and on top of things! Then I realized I still had some running to do. This Run December Challenge with Tall Mom on the Run is going to make December a very long month…! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lately I’ve been spending most … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Happy Heidi!

Workout Wanda: An evening run of 3.25 miles in 30:06…or 9:15 mpm! Today was the day of Happy Heidi. I’ve admitted to my plethora of personalities but I don’t think I spend enough time hanging out with Happy Heidi. I have no idea why she came to visit today but I’m sure glad she did! My morning started out with an early trip to the dentist and let’s just say they had all kinds of things to tell me…nothing I wanted to hear. Even so, by the time I got to work I was in an oddly good mood. For the first time in two weeks I actually had work to do all day long! I don’t know if I’m a weirdo or what but I can not mentally handle sitting at a desk with nothing to do. If I … [Click Here For the Full Story]

A Hot Mess…or two!

Workout Wanda: An evening run of 4.30 miles with Chris…and a pace of 9:30! The alarm went off this morning, I kicked Chris and then without many words we both decided that an evening run/bike would be better. Okay, maybe Chris just ignored me and I used that as an excuse to reset the alarm…whatever. When I finally got home from work – having a commute is overrated – we headed out for my 4-miler. We played around with the route a little bit and had some more close encounters with critters! A wannabe runner and a roaming elk! Excuse the blur…it was dusk and the camera was on a weird setting. Besides, we are trying to convince the world we are Colorado residents, not tourists, so we can only take so many photos! We were running along a route … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Monday Meal Planning

Well, we have been all moved into our new place for about two weeks now and it is about time I get back on track with the meal planning. Last week we blew a whole bundle of money on grocery shopping and with no game plan. Today I decided to change things up and start out with a plan! Three Main Dishes: Chicken Tacos Benison Burgers Brats on the Grill Two Side Dishes: Roasted Baby Red Potatoes Coconut Curry Sweet Potato Fries One Extra: Peaches & Cream Scones And yes, brats count as meal planning. What you don’t see on this list is cold cut sandwiches and tuna sandwiches…or the mac and cheese from a box. I only post the semi-cool stuff, not the cheap-o not-so-healthy foods that we eat in the middle! Sorry…no photos for this post since there … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Monday Meal Planning

Another week of not exactly following the plan…oops. I wasn’t home to actually make meals for about 3 days because of work and traipsing around the country, so I suppose it isn’t a big surprise I didn’t have the time/energy to do a lot of cooking! And because of the lack of cooking the grocery shopping was also limited – we did get groceries, but not a lot. Last Week’s Low Down Three Main Dishes: 1. Meaty Mac n Cheese – soon-to-be created recipe, using The Pioneer Woman’s recipe as a base – didn’t happen, again 2. Venison Tenderloin – family recipe – didn’t happen 3. Honey BBQ Chicken – as seen here – made on Monday, leftovers on Tuesday Two Side Dishes: 1. Beer Battered Cheese Curds – as seen here (eventually I will buy fresh cheese curds and … [Click Here For the Full Story]
