Perfectly Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

A while back I realized that I am perfectly capable of making more “complicated” cookies such as the Chocolate Velvet Cookies and the Peanut Butter Cup Cookies but I completely suck[ed] at making the very basic Chocolate Chip Cookie. Well, I’ve found a solution to my problem…and being the nice and loving person I am here is the fail-proof recipe I have found for yummy soft chocolate chip cookies! Perfectly Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies INGREDIENTS 2.25 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup butter – melted/softened .75 cup brown sugar .25 cup white sugar 1 pkg (3.4oz)  instant vanilla pudding mix 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups chocolate chips DIRECTIONS 1. My Week in Pictures

Between my vacation and all my other blabbing about my super awesome life I’ve gotten a bit behind on My Week in Pictures “series”. So, here I am, back on track! Did you know they make Christmas colored candy corn? Yay, they do and it is just as awesome as the Halloween colored candy corn. It randomly showed up in the office after the New Year and I kidnapped some. Yum! And in this past week I taught myself something new. How to make a perfectly healthy salad be everything but healthy…and a lot tastier! Basically, take some mixed greens and then load on various meats, cheese and other random veggies and/or veggies. Eggs & Sugar

Eggs and sugar…this is basically what my Sunday morning consisted of, I kid you not. I’m definitely not a food blogger, but I am in the process of creating myself a recipe book with photos of each item so I do have some photos from Sunday’s brunch that I will share. Stacy was in charge of the egg biscuits and I was the chef behind the monkey bread. In the end we decided both recipes need a little tweaking. Actually, the monkey bread recipe might be just fine – I was being stupid and couldn’t figure out how to follow a recipe! I bought the wrong buns for the recipe and half way through the process I forgot I was halving the recipe. Yay, we ate a lot of extra butter and brown sugar…oh well, it tasted awesome! Since I … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Marshmallow-y Goodness!

I made it all the way across the state…alive, well and sick of driving! Of course I get to make the same drive, but not until Monday. I had the pleasure of spending some quality time in my friend, Stacy’s, kitchen this afternoon. I made absolutely nothing…that is remotely good for a person anyway! I did make bad for you things…like rice crispy treats, caramel crispy treats, marshmallows dipped in chocolate and pretzels dipped in chocolate. Yum.   Actually, I am rather sick of sweets. This baking (is this even baking?!) endeavor involved a lot of snacking along the way. A person can only eat so much sugary deliciousness before they fall asleep. I do believe it is time for my afternoon nap…if only every Friday could go like this!   And yes…I skipped my run/spin/lift this morning. I was … [Click Here For the Full Story]
