Oddly Guilty…

I am feeling oddly guilty today. It really is rather ridiculous and I’m fully aware of the sheer lunacy of this guilt but that doesn’t make it vanish. Nope. Not even a little bit. Not even multiple trips up/down the stairs to my 12th floor office just to stay warm is making this guilt go away. What have I done to bring on this guilt? I didn’t run. On a rare day in Colorado when the high didn’t make it out of the single digit temperatures I chose to stay burrowed under the blankets with the body heat of two toasty cats and a hot husband. They were all radiating heat and sleeping so peacefully. I didn’t want to wake them up. Besides, I was tired and none of my usually AM running buddies were meeting me. No motivation, no … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Snowboarding…in October

This post is going to be a prime example of how NOT to humble brag…I’m just straight up bragging, nothing humble is going on here! Its October, we went snowboarding and we took photos just so we could tell the world how cool Colorado is! Somewhere under my layers is my beloved Columbia mid-weight baselayer. Seriously love that thing! The snow wasn’t perfect and the resort was barely open – only 4 worthy runs open – but we were decked out in our gear and strapped to our snowboards well before Thanksgiving! We went to Arapahoe Basin and they have actually been open since October 13th but we finally found the time to head up this past Monday. Its weird to think about snowboarding when Denver is still toasty warm…or randomly rainy. When we were at ABasin it was sunny … [Click Here For the Full Story]

#TryingStuff with #OmniTen

Guys…I’m feeling kind of awesome. In my head I’ve always been awesome, the bombdiggity and the best thing that ever happened to the world. I mean, it is my own head, I can think things like that! However, in reality I know that I am just another person running around on trails, playing in the snow and writing about my life for internet strangers to read. But then a package arrived at my door…a big, fancy package from Columbia Sportswear. It was crammed full of winter gear and an invite to be part of the #OmniTen winter team. Heck yes, I jabber about outdoorsy winter fun online just enough to get selected as one of this season’s #OmniTen’ers which is a huge ego stroke. So pumped for this winter! I could not accept the invite fast enough. Yes, please! Molly … [Click Here For the Full Story]

Think Snow!

Guess what? Last Friday we got snow! Okay, so maybe that is old news considering it is now Tuesday, but I have snowy photos to share and we are in full blown snow mode so I’m going to talk about it a few days late! Green Mountain / William F Hayden Park Chris snagged those photos when he headed out for a snowy, muddy run on Friday morning. By the time I left work at 3pm the only evidence of snow was far off on the foothills and mountains. Regardless, our brains kicked into winter mode. I wore boots two days in a row, we pulled out our winter jackets and our credit card started to cry. Every year we throw down the poor, abused piece of plastic to buy season passes. Our first year in Colorado we went with … [Click Here For the Full Story]

More Mountain Love… {Keystone Resort}

Our mountain vacation is here…well, technically part two of our month of mountain vacations – part one was our hut trip last week. But who is counting? I’m too busy living the life and avoiding reality to worry about that! And since I’m busy enjoying the mountain and snowboarding at Keystone Resort this is all you get for now… An “early” morning run through the deserted Keystone resort at 8am, snowboarding before noon with the guys, hiking to the back bowls and finishing off the day with fresh snow! We even managed to be out late enough to get closed into runs – beat the rope by seconds! And after starting out at 10am. That’s a big deal for Chris and I with our snobby season pass ways! Hope you are all surviving the last part of your work week … [Click Here For the Full Story]
